Condition Description

Pre-owned vintage hardware in good overall physical condition with normal cosmetic wear from age, storage, and prior use. Card has been power-on tested only. No audio output, MIDI, game port, or other functional testing has been performed. Includes the installed Samsung KS0164-based wavetable MIDI daughterboard shown in the photos. Because full functionality has not been verified, this item is being sold based on the limited testing described above. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition, components, connectors, and included hardware.

Vintage Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16 PnP CT2980 16-bit ISA sound card with an installed Samsung KS0164-based General MIDI wavetable daughterboard.

This is a period-correct ISA audio setup for vintage DOS, Windows 3.x, and Windows 95-era PCs. The CT2980 is part of Creative's Sound Blaster 16 PnP family and provides Sound Blaster-compatible digital audio, FM synthesis, MIDI/game-port connectivity, and support for Wave Blaster-compatible wavetable expansion.

The included daughterboard is built around the Samsung SEC KS0164 wavetable synthesizer chipset and connects through the Sound Blaster's 26-pin wavetable header. The daughterboard PCB is marked:
